JOB DESCRIPTION

Hello!

We are looking for a foster care secretary who is brave and innovative and who, together with our foster care secretary and our child social workers, wants to help develop our newly established placement group. The group consists of a team leader, five child social workers, and two foster care secretaries, one of whom is the position you are applying for. We are also in the process of recruiting a parent secretary. Foster care is particularly focused on our development work. Our goals include increasing the recruitment of and support for foster homes managed by us. We strive to improve our ability to prevent placement breakdowns and ensure that all foster care children have their rights and needs met.

The main task of the foster care secretary is to recruit and assess foster homes and contact families/individuals. The work also includes being responsible for following up with foster homes and guiding and supporting them in their tasks in close collaboration with the child's/youth's social worker. The main focus of the position is to support, guide, and supervise foster homes in their daily lives. You are an important person for both the foster homes and the child's social worker and are the first point of contact for foster homes in need of assistance. With us in the individual and family care department, you have good opportunities for professional development and are actively involved in the development of the operations in accordance with our mission.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in working according to the above, someone who feels that this team is where they want to be or who thinks that this position in this municipality sounds perfect for them, where they can thrive and contribute with their skills. In other words, we are looking for someone who truly has an interest in the role and believes in our way of working and organizing, but who also wants to be part of our development and grow as a foster care secretary.

Of course, you also need to meet the more formal requirements, which means having a degree in social work or another behavioral science higher education that the employer deems equivalent.

Previous experience with foster care assessments and/or investigative work within social services, preferably with children and youth, is meritorious, but equally important are your personal suitability, engagement, and attitude.

As a person, you have the ability to listen to different perspectives and collaborate with others. You are also good at structuring your work, prioritizing, and carrying out your tasks. Furthermore, you are familiar with applicable legislation and have a good ability to express yourself in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing. You are interested in learning and developing in your work and take personal responsibility for ongoing knowledge development.

Before employment is offered, a criminal record check must be submitted.

A Class B driver's license is required for the position.
